Effective governance is a living, evolving practice that needs to keep pace with a company’s strategy, culture, and business environment. In this session, board directors explored practical ways to strengthen and maintain alignment of governance practices with strategy and organizational change to support organizational resilience and performance.

Attendees learned how boards can impact the quality and practical power of their organization’s corporate-governance documentation and practices. Speakers walked through an integrated governance review framework, debate its cogency, and discuss how to incorporate effective governance into the board’s rhythm throughout the year—not just during the fall planning cycle.
