Tim Devine
Managing Director, Co-head of FIG M&A Americas, Barclays
Tim Devine is a Managing Director and Co-Head of Financial Institutions Group (FIG) M&A at Barclays. His focus is partnering with his M&A and coverage colleagues to drive advisory business across all verticals of Financial Services with a particular focus on lending related entities.
Mr. Devine has over twenty-five years of experience in investment banking and, prior to joining Barclays, was Head of Specialty Finance in the Americas within FI Banking at Credit Suisse. Prior to joining Credit Suisse in 2011, Mr. Devine was a Managing Director and founding member of the FIG team in Citadel's investment bank, where he worked until 2009. Mr. Devine started his banking career in 1996 at Salomon Brothers, which ultimately became part of Citigroup. During his thirteen years at Citigroup and its predecessor institutions, Mr. Devine advised clients and executed transactions across all Financial Services verticals with a particular attention to specialty lenders and insurance companies.
Mr. Devine began his career as a corporate attorney at Cravath, Swaine and Moore. He received his B.B.A from the University of Michigan and his J.D. from the New York University School of Law.
