Managing Director, Shareholder Advisory, Sodali & Co
Peter da Silva Vint joins Sodali as a Managing Director focused on shareholder activism, corporate governance and strategic shareholder engagement. He arrives from Jasper Street Partners, where he served as Managing Partner advising public companies and boards on activism preparedness and defense, shareholder engagement and corporate governance. Peter brings more than 15 years of experience spanning investment banking, investment stewardship and law. Before Jasper Street, he spent several years in investment banking advising companies on strategic matters, including shareholder advisory and activism defense. Earlier, as a member of BlackRock Investment Stewardship, he evaluated corporate governance and significant shareholder matters from the perspective of one of the world’s largest institutional investors. He began his career as a corporate lawyer. This cross-disciplinary background gives him a distinctive perspective on how companies and boards can anticipate and respond to event-driven situations, navigate contested situations and engage effectively with institutional investors.
Peter’s views on shareholder activism, corporate governance and shareholder engagement have been featured in publications including Reuters and The Economist, and he has spoken on these topics at Stanford Directors’ College, Harvard Business School and New York University.
He holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management, a JD from the University of Michigan Law School and an undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech.
