Martyn Worsley
Chief People Officer – Lockton Inc, Non-Executive Director – UK Sport
Martyn Worsley joined Lockton in November 2020 because of the inspiring global growth journey that the firm is on, its keen focus on delivering great client service alongside the understanding that its people are its most important asset. Martyn is responsible for all aspects of the People & Culture Function globally with the macro aims of enabling Lockton to scale for ongoing growth, making it the most sought-after Insurance Broker to work for and protecting its very special culture for the long term.
Previously Martyn has been at Tate & Lyle where he undertook Global HR Director and Talent / Organisational Development roles. Prior to this he was with both SAB Miller where he was the HR Director for Global Business Services as well as for Corporate Functions globally during the acquisition by ABInBev, as well as BNY Mellon where he held various roles including Regional HR Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa and leading the Global Talent and Organisational Development teams for the company.
Martyn started off his career in 1997 as a graduate trainee at Lloyds TSB and undertook a number of business roles including eCommerce, M&A’s and running retail bank branches. Martyn then joined British Telecom (BT) Group followed by being a Partner in a Global Talent Consultancy before spending time coaching International Rugby and participating in the Trans-Atlantic Yacht Race.
Outside of work Martyn lives in Wiltshire and is happily married with two young children. Over the past 12 years he has also held a number of Non-Executive Director roles within sporting organisations such as the Rugby Football Union and the London Youth Games. In March 2018 he was formally appointed by the Government to sit on the main Board of UK Sport (as well as the Audit / Risk Committee and Chair the Remuneration / Nominations Committee). UK Sport is the government’s funding body for elite sport in Great Britain.
