Marjorie Whittaker is a managing director in Grant Thornton’s sustainability services practice. One of Grant Thornton’s first full-time professionals dedicated to sustainability services, Whittaker applies her two decades of experience in audit, US Securities and Exchange Commission reporting, capital markets, and initial public offerings to deliver high-quality solutions to her clients.

With clients ranging from complex, multi-national companies to mid-sized domestic entities, Whittaker has supported organizations across the sustainability life cycle from initial steps to preparing for and obtaining external attestation. She enjoys delivering innovative and practical solutions to help clients strengthen and communicate their value proposition while providing reliable information to key stakeholders.

Whittaker is an active member of various task forces sponsored by the Center for Audit Quality. She frequently speaks on sustainability matters and has authored numerous publications. Whittaker serves as the treasurer and a trustee of Congressional School and lives in Falls Church, Virginia, with her husband and son.
