Kofi Bruce

Kofi Bruce is the chief financial officer of General Mills, a leading global food company with beloved brands including Cheerios, Nature Valley, Blue Buffalo, Häagen-Dazs, Old El Paso, Pillsbury, Betty Crocker, Annie's, Wanchai Ferry, and more. Headquartered in Minneapolis, General Mills is a $19 billion company with a world-class team of over 30,000 employees who work to advance the company’s 160-year legacy of Making Food the World Loves.
In his role, Bruce is responsible for Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Investor Relations, External Reporting, Internal Audit, Tax, Investments, and Treasury. Bruce joined General Mills in 2009, holding a variety of corporate and business leadership roles over his 16-year tenure, including corporate controller, vice president of Finance for the Convenience and Foodservice segment, corporate treasurer and vice president of Finance for U.S. Yogurt.
Prior to joining General Mills, Bruce was vice president and treasurer of Ecolab, preceded by various roles of increasing responsibility in corporate and business finance at both Ecolab and Ford Motor Company.
Today, Bruce serves on the boards of several non-profit community organizations, including Feeding America. Additionally, he served for five years on the board of directors for Electronic Arts, including as Audit Chair. Bruce holds a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and a master’s degree from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
He is married with two children and lives in the greater Minneapolis St. Paul area. He enjoys running and is a fan of professional soccer.
