Ken Plunk

Ken Plunk is a retired public-company chief financial officer (CFO) known for his ability to transform organizations and execute strategic changes that improve financial results. He has led complex organizations across multiple industries and companies including Coca-Cola, Home Depot, Walmart, and J&J Snack Foods. He has significant experience with both domestic and international businesses and has held senior leadership roles serving large public, small-cap public, and private family-run companies. Plunk combines his background in advising public and private companies on corporate governance and risk management with a track record of driving strategic changes and improved financial performance.

As a strategic CFO for J&J Snack Foods, Plunk led the transformation of the controllership, internal audit, and information technology organizations, along with enhancing the audit-committee process to improve controls and risk management across the enterprise. In addition, his leadership was instrumental in developing and executing the financial strategy that elevated performance and helped the business recover from the significant impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. He partnered with the CEO and board to implement a financial plan to invest in plant capacity, expand supply-chain capabilities, increase shareholder value, and improve profit margins. In addition, he was part of the team that successfully executed the largest acquisition in company history. In fiscal year 2024, the company achieved its highest annual sales and profit, and profit margins increased over 400 basis points in a two-year period.

Plunk currently serves on the board of directors for Milo’s Tea Co. Inc., where he also sits on the finance, audit, and risk committees. As a board member, he leverages his broad experience to advise organizations across multiple financial disciplines including corporate finance, operational performance, strategy, audit and risk management, investor relations, treasury, mergers and acquisitions, and business development.

Plunk is a member of the Nashville chapter of the NACD, a certified public accountant, a Six Sigma green belt, and a graduate of the University of Memphis. He and his wife reside in Nashville, Tennessee, and have three adult children. He is an avid golfer and boater who enjoys traveling with his family and spending time outdoors.
