Kate Schuelke has more than 35 years of experience representing technology companies both in house and at international law firms. She is the former chief legal officer at Seagate Technology, a multinational manufacturer of data storage solutions, where she was responsible for the company’s legal, government affairs, and security functions. Prior to joining Seagate, she was senior vice president, general counsel, and secretary at Altera Corp., during which time she helped negotiate that company’s purchase by Intel Corp. Schuelke began her career at an international law firm litigating intellectual property law, business, and securities class-action cases. She also was a Fulbright Scholar lecturer on US intellectual property law in Poland.
Schuelke currently serves on the board of directors of SiTime Corp., a fast-growing semiconductor company listed on Nasdaq, where she chairs the nominating and corporate governance committee and is a member of the compensation committee.
