Ellen Rubin is an experienced independent board member with expertise in the manufacturing/industrials sector. She is currently an independent board director at Allegion (NYSE: ALLE), a leading provider of security and access solutions, and previously served on the board of Chase Corporation (NYSE American: CCF), a global specialty chemicals company, until its acquisition by KKR. She was also an independent board director at Corvus Insurance, a cyber security insurtech, that was acquired by Travelers Insurance.

As a technology entrepreneur, CEO and investor, Ellen brings decades of experience in technology strategy and data security to her board roles, helping companies adopt new technologies in AI, cloud computing, data management and analytics. She enjoys building and scaling companies from the earliest stages, with successful exits through IPO and acquisition. She is currently an Operating Partner at Glasswing Ventures, an early-stage venture firm that specializes in AI and cyber security companies. Previously, Ellen was founder and CEO of ClearSky Data through its acquisition by Amazon Web Services. Post-acquisition, Ellen was GM of AWS hybrid cloud storage services. Before ClearSky, Ellen was founding CEO of CloudSwitch (acquired by Verizon), and VP Marketing at Netezza (pre-launch through IPO). She has been recognized as one of the “Top 10 Women in the Cloud” by CloudNOW, as a “Woman to Watch” by Mass High Tech, and as a “Rising Star Entrepreneur” by the New England Venture Capital Association. Ellen holds an MBA and BA from Harvard University.
