Debra L. Reed-Klages was recently named #3 on the Wall Street Journal’s list of most influential directors in 2025. She is the Presiding Director of Caterpillar Inc., where she also chairs the Nominating and Governance Committee. She is Chair of the Audit Committee at Chevron Corporation and serves on the Compensation and Governance Committees at Lockheed Martin. 

The former CEO and Executive Chairman of Sempra Energy, Reed-Klages led the Fortune 500 company from 2011 to 2018, overseeing $37 billion in assets and more than 17,000 employees. She previously served as President, CEO, and CFO of two of Sempra’s largest subsidiaries, San Diego Gas & Electric and Southern California Gas Company, from 2006 to 2010.

A recognized leader in energy, risk management, and sustainability, she was appointed to the National Petroleum Council in 2014 and named one of Fortune’s “Most Powerful Women in Business” for six consecutive years.
