Darren Carroll, a seasoned risk management and information security leader with extensive global experience, is Thrive's Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO). He works with clients across all vertical markets to help them assess their information security programs and cybersecurity initiatives to identify potential weaknesses and build a plan to help them mitigate their risks.

Throughout his 30+ year career, Darren has provided consultative thought risk management and information security leadership, strategic direction, and tactical response to multiple federal, state, and local agencies, many Fortune 100 and hundreds of mid-sized enterprises. He has built and led multiple diverse, dynamic delivery and pre-sales teams.

Most notably, Darren served in executive cybersecurity positions at AT&T and Verizon. At AT&T, he played a pivotal role in developing and implementing advanced security solutions. He also led teams dedicated to securing organizations' digital assets at Verizon.

Darren holds and maintains several industry-leading certifications, including Fortinet, Cloud Security Alliance, CMMC-RP and CISSP.
