Lt. Gen. Robert J. “Bob” Skinner, USAF (Ret.), is the founder of Skinner’s Strategic Solutions, LLC, where he advises public- and private-sector leaders on cyber risk, Zero Trust, and national security challenges.

A career cyber and communications leader, he most recently served as director of the Defense Information Systems Agency and commander, Joint Force Headquarters–Department of Defense Information Network, leading global unified network operations and cyber defense for the Department of Defense. Over more than three decades of service, Skinner commanded at the squadron, group, wing, and numbered air force levels and held key roles at major command, Headquarters Air Force, and the Joint Staff. Among many commendations, he was awarded the Defense Superior Service Medal with oak leaf cluster.
