Alicja leads the financial services sector and plays a pivotal role in shaping cloud security and compliance approaches. She's a key partner for GCP clients, guiding them through their security transformation, and drives the OCISO Customer Advocacy Program to empower C-Suites and Boards with top-tier security expertise – all to secure customers, the cloud, and the planet.

Prior to joining Google Cloud in 2022, Alicja has worked over 25 years in the information and cybersecurity field and her extensive background includes critical CISO positions at major financial institutions like UBS (CISO Americas and Global Head of Data Confidentiality Operations) and Credit Suisse (CISO for Investment Banking, Group Functions, and Americas). Earlier, at Coopers & Lybrand and PwC in the UK and US, Alicja was a driving force behind the growth of the firm’s financial services IT and Cyber Risk Practice in the South West and Wales region.

Beyond her corporate roles, Alicja is a recognized voice in the cybersecurity community, having chaired the Institute of International Bankers (IIB) Information Security and Operational Resilience Committee. She's also an active member of the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) Financial Services Leadership Council and CxO Trust Advisory Council, is an adjunct professor at Columbia's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), where she collaborates with the World Economic Forum (WEF) on digitalisation and internet policy research. Alicja holds an MA in European Business Administration, from University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol, UK.
