Tony Wells is a public and private company director and venture partner with deep experience in digital transformation, customer growth, and large-scale enterprise governance. He currently serves on the boards of Yelp (NYSE), Nexstar Media Group (NASDAQ), Amalgamated Bank (NASDAQ) and TripleLift, a Vista Equity Partners portfolio company. Previously, he was Chief Media Officer at Verizon, where he oversaw a $2.5B annual media investment across all business units and Chief Brand Officer at USAA.

Tony is currently a Venture Partner at AZ-VC, Arizona’s largest venture fund, and has served on multiple private-equity-backed SaaS boards through successful exits. A former U.S. Marine Corps infantry officer, he is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business.
