Chris Oddleifson is a Director of NACD New England and Director and CEO Emeritus of Independent Bank Corp. and Rockland Trust Company, where he served as CEO, President, and Director for 20 years.

In addition to his role with NACD New England, Chris is actively engaged in community organizations. He serves on the Finance and Strategy Committees of South Shore Health, the Finance and Land Conservation Committees of The Trustees of Reservations, and two municipal committees in his local community. He also co-chairs the capital campaign committee for a local organic farm.

Chris has held leadership positions as Chair of the Massachusetts Bankers Association, the Massachusetts Housing Partnership, South Shore Hospital, the South Shore Health Foundation, Cape Cod Community College, and the United Way of Greater Plymouth County Campaign Cabinet. His past board service includes the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston’s Community Development Institution Advisory Council, the Old Colony Council of the Boy Scouts of America, and the New England Council.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
