Recognition

NACD.DC^® Official Designation

NACD Directorship Certification^® is an official acknowledgement of your achievement. Use the NACD.DC designation on your LinkedIn profile or anywhere you’d like to share your professional accomplishment.

Only directors who have passed the exam and actively maintain their certification status can use the NACD.DC post-nominal designation.

Credly Digital Badging

Digital badges serve as proof of your professional credentials and offer easy, instant verification. Display it on your LinkedIn profile and across a variety of applications as a mark of recognition, affiliation, and accomplishment. 

Digital Certificate

Credly also provides digital certificates to recognize your NACD Directorship Certification credential. Like the badge, this portable competency can be easily shared on social media and other referral platforms.

NACD.DC directors are highlighted in the Equilar BoardEdge database. The trusted digital platform is used by hundreds of companies sourcing executive intelligence and new board talent. When you pass your exam, you’ll receive an email from Equilar on how to set up your personal profile.

Recertification

Recertification is required every 24 months (2 years) to maintain an active NACD.DC designation.

Maintain an active NACD Directorship Certification credential with an active NACD membership, continuing education credits and a recertification fee. Ongoing learning lets you keep up to date and relevant on the most important governance competencies. You will get emails reminding you to track your recertification status.

• Earn 32 credits
  Your 24-month recertification cycle begins the day after you pass the exam.
• Attend Events & Webinars
  Earn your credits through NACD events, volunteering as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in exam development activities, or participating in an approved Education Network program..
• Pay a Recertification Fee
  A $195 recertification fee every two years is payable online, after you’ve met your recertification credit requirements.
• Keep your NACD membership current
  Active NACD membership is required for recertification.

To receive credit for a program completed through our education network, please send your Certificate of Completion to credentialing@nacdonline.org, and allow ten (10) business days for the program credit to appear on your transcript.
