Vincent K. Brooks, NACD-DC served in the U.S. Army for over 42 years, retiring from active duty in 2019 as a four-star general.

In his post-military career, General Brooks was invited to serve on the board of directors of four publicly traded companies: Diamondback Energy, Jacobs Solutions, Verisk Analytics, Amentum, as well as  two non-profit organizations: theGary Sinise Foundation and the Korea Defense Veterans Association.  As a geopolitical thought leader, he served as a fellow at the University of Texas and at the Harvard Kennedy School and held an endowed chair at West Point. General Brooks is NACD Directorship Certified, an NACD Board Leadership Fellow, a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and is a consultant principal with WestExec Advisors.

In May 2026, the U.S. Military Academy at West Point named General Brooks as a Distinguished Graduate.
