Margot Carter is the lead director of Installed Building Products (NYSE:IBP), where she chairs the nominating and governance committee and sits on the audit committee. She also serves on the boards of Eagle Materials Inc. (NYSE:EXP), where she chairs the compensation committee, and Tyler Technologies (NYSE:TYL), where she sits on the nominating and governance committee. Carter is chair emeritus of the NACD North Texas and is NACD Directorship Certified.

Carter is president of Living Mountain Capital, where she invests in and advises innovative and disruptive businesses, including Cien.ai, which she cofounded. Previously, she was a C-suite executive for global public companies.

She is a frequent speaker at events nationwide and has been recognized among Dallas Innovates' AI75 and D CEO magazine's D500 Most Influential Business Leaders in North Texas. Carter holds a JD from Fordham University School of Law, a BA from Binghamton University, and a certificate in AI from MIT’s Sloan School.
