Laura Deutscher is an experienced corporate director, former Global CFO, and qualified financial expert with a 40-year career spanning financial services, insurance, and professional services. She serves as an independent director on the boards of People Corporation and Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company, a diversified insurance and technology platform serving more than two million customers across the US, Canada, and Australia.

Deutscher has chaired audit and risk committees across multiple insurance entities, and has also served on Human Capital & Compensation, Nominating & Governance, CEO Search, and Transaction Advisory Committees, contributing to governance modernization, financial oversight, and executive succession planning.

Her former board roles include independent director positions at MSIG USA, MS Transverse Insurance Group, and Germania Insurance Company, where she chaired the Audit and Risk Committees, respectively.
