Jeannie Diefenderfer is a board governance and leadership expert and former CEO of the Higher Ambition Leadership Alliance, a nonprofit community of CEOs committed to building high-performing organizations that deliver economic and social value.

During her 28-year career at Verizon Communications, she held senior leadership roles including SVP of global engineering and planning, chief procurement officer, and SVP of enterprise customer care.

Diefenderfer serves as an independent director of DigitalBridge Group (NYSE: DBRG) and on the board of NACD New Jersey. She is chair of Olin College of Engineering and Women in America, an executive mentor and coach with The ExCo Group, and an advisor to World50. Her previous board service includes Irth, Inc., Windstream Holdings, MRV Communications, Westell Technologies, the Ms. Foundation for Women, and Tufts University.

Diefenderfer holds a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University and an MBA from Babson College.
