Dannetta Bland is a managing director at Accenture and leads the firm’s Board Effectiveness practice, advising public and private company boards, CEOs, and senior executives on corporate governance, board effectiveness, director education, board and committee assessments, succession planning, and executive transitions. Bland also serves on the board of Texas Christian University’s Neeley School of Business.

Before joining Accenture, Bland served as vice chancellor and chief diversity officer for the University of North Texas System and spent nearly 18 years at Deloitte in leadership roles spanning corporate governance, executive transitions, crisis and risk management, and organizational transformation.

A recognized governance thought leader and past NACD Directorship 100 honoree, her work has been featured in NACD Directorship, The Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, and Savoy Magazine. She is a frequent speaker on corporate governance, board readiness, and crisis and risk oversight.
