Cheryl Shavers has served as CEO of Global Smarts Inc., an advisory services and strategy firm, since 2001. She currently serves on the board of directors of Knowles Corp., including as chair of its nominating and governance committee, and serves as a director at Voyager Technologies. She formerly served on the boards of directors of Rockwell Collins as chair of its technology and cybersecurity committee, ITT, Mentor Graphics, and ATMI, where she has served on the audit, compensation and nominating, and governance committees.

With more than 30 years in the semiconductor and technology industries, Shavers has extensive industry and government service experience and has served as undersecretary of commerce for technology at the Department of Commerce. She is also a registered patent agent with the US Patent and Trademark Office.

Shavers has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a PhD in solid state chemistry from Arizona State University.
