Jack Lazar, a former chief financial officer (CFO) at multiple private and public companies, has more than 35 years of Silicon Valley experience with a focus on finance and operations. He currently serves on the boards of Astera Labs (ALAB), Box (BOX), Global Foundries (GFS), Resideo (REZI), and Tonal Systems (private).  He is audit committee chair for each of these boards and chair of the Tonal Board. Lazar is on the board of the NACD Northern California Chapter and is vice president of Santa Clara University’s accounting advisory board.

In his operating career, Lazar held executive leadership roles at GoPro, Qualcomm, Atheros, NetRatings, Apptitude, and Electronics for Imaging. He was part of teams that took four of these companies public and CFO for three of the IPOs.

Lazar’s previous public and private boards include Casper Sleep, eero, Mellanox, Quantenna Communications, Silicon Labs, thredUP, Tile, and TubeMogul. In his operating and board roles, he has been part of more than $35 billion in M&A, divestiture, equity, and debt transactions, including over 50 acquisitions, 10 IPOs, one spin-out, and a successful activist defense. 

He earned a bachelor of science with an emphasis in accounting from Santa Clara University and is a certified public accountant (inactive).  Lazar was previously named to the NACD Directorship 100™ (2022) and CFO of the Year by the Silicon Valley Business Journal.
