Jesus Mantas

Board Member

Jesús Mantas serves as chair of the Compensation and Management Development Committee on the Board of Biogen, a Fortune 500 leading biotechnology company. He serves on the innovation and audit committees on the board of International Flavors and Fragrances (IFF), a Fortune 500 leading company innovating the scent, food, health, and biosciences sectors. He is also a board member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).

He serves on the advisory council of the NASDAQ Center for Board Excellence and is the vice chair of the board of HITEC, a nonprofit focused on leadership development in technology careers.

He is a senior advisor in areas of artificial intelligence, business and performance transformation, and was a member of the first World Economic Forum’s Global AI Council. He is an active angel investor in next-generation leaders innovating in frontier technologies, and a limited partner in multiple funds. 

He recently retired as the global managing partner leading IBM Business Transformation Services, an $10B unit of IBM. Prior to this role, he led IBM Consulting Strategy, Ventures, and Corporate Development, where he acquired over 14 companies, accelerating IBM Consulting transformation. In his prior tenure with IBM, he led multiple global businesses, including IBM Business Process Outsourcing, IBM Consulting in Latin America, and North America Enterprise Market among others.

Before joining IBM, Mantas was a partner in the High Technology Practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting. He also worked for Ernst & Young and led supply chain systems for Procter & Gamble in Spain.

Mantas holds degrees in telecommunications and business administration from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid; was an adjunct professor at the Graduate School of Management of the University of California, Irvine; and served as an officer in the Air Force of Spain.
