What's the most memorable trip you've ever taken?
Hiking Mt. Fuji and touring Japan with some close friends.
From your perspective, what are some key traits that the most effective board members possess?
Business acumen. Experience. Focus. Curiosity. Persistence. Passion. Even-temperedness.
If you could instantly become an expert in any skill or subject, what would it be?
Singing. I love to sing, but I’m not very good at it.
What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
Know when to fold 'em.
What's the most interesting or unusual job you've ever had?
My 11 years at one of Italy’s biggest energy companies taught me a global perspective on business and law, and gave me significant experience with large-sized acquisitions, development projects, and litigation. And yes I learned some Italian and traveled.
