What is the last book, podcast, article, or show you watched that really stuck with you?
The last book that has really stuck with me is The Other Eden, by Paul Harding.

What's the most memorable trip you've ever taken?
My most memorable trip was to Ireland. It's a beautiful country and very gracious people. I was able to hike and tour the countryside.
From your perspective, what are some key traits that the most effective board members possess?
In the complex landscape as a board member, being a lifelong learner is essential for success. Outside of intelligence and integrity, being able to pivot and adapt during disruption, open mindedness, and discipline are key traits that most effective board members possess.
If you could instantly become an expert in any skill or subject, what would it be?
If I could instantly become an expert, it would be in mineral engineering. The science of mining is fascinating to me.
What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
You learn more from listening and asking questions.
What's the most interesting or unusual job you've ever had?
My most interesting job was serving on the Board of Directors for the State of Texas as an appointee of Governor Rick Perry, continuing to serve under the leadership of Governor Greg Abbott. This took me out of my daily routine in accounting.
If you could have dinner with any historical figure, who would it be and why?
It would be our (7) principal Founding Fathers of the US Constitution. It would be interesting to hear the debates and discussions that essentially formed the US Constitution.
What's your favorite way to relax and unwind?
My favorite way to relax is a nice walk/hike in nature or reading.
