Don't be afraid to ask questions.

What's the most memorable trip you've ever taken?

Landing in Beijing with my family on our first expat assignment. Amazing to meet so many relatives I'd only ever heard about.

From your perspective, what are some key traits that the most effective board members possess?

Curiosity, humility, and courage.

If you could instantly become an expert in any skill or subject, what would it be?

Artificial intelligence.

What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?

Don't worry about having to do more work. If you work twice as hard, you learn twice as much.

What's the most interesting or unusual job you've ever had?

Working as a guard at a science library checking backpacks.

If you could have dinner with any historical figure, who would it be and why?

Leonardo da Vinci because of his genius in so many facets.

What's your favorite way to relax and unwind?

Spending time by the pool in Maui, listening to good music, and having a tropical drink.
