Recognized as a foremost expert in health aspects of contingency planning and response to critical incidents, William was previously director of the White House Medical Unit and deputy physician to the President. As such, he was responsible for organizing and providing comprehensive healthcare services to two US presidents and their executive staff. Later, as associate chief medical officer of the Department of Homeland Security, William played a key role in the department’s implementation of the nation’s preparedness strategy.

William has been a family physician for over 30 years, focused on services to ultra-high net worth families and top-tier multinational corporations for over two decades. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point (BS), the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (MD), and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Master of Healthcare Administration).
