Steve Basra is currently Head of Automotive Division of Google, Inc. and responsible for driving Google's AI applications in the automotive industry. Google has positioned itself in the forefront of autonomous driving and integration of software and connectivity with automobiles production. Before Google he was Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai AutoEver North America and focused on developing connected vehicle services and data-driven intelligent solutions with advanced technologies. Steve spent 25 years at Toyota in various leadership positions to drive technology advancement. His last position with Toyota was President & Chief Executive Officer of Toyota Connected North America, which is responsible for developing the Infotainment system and connectivity in millions of Toyota and Lexus vehicles. Steve has a Master Degree in Electronic Engineering from University of Nottingham in the UK.
