As EY Americas Assurance Chief Technology Officer, and EY Global and Americas Assurance AI Leader, Richard drives efforts to develop and deploy artificial intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies in EY Assurance services. He operates at the intersection of responsible technology adoption within the global EY organization and developing new offerings catering to assurance clients’ needs.

He leverages over 30 years of audit experience working with innovators in his role to help guide the EY organization’s US$1b+ investment in its next-generation assurance technology platform. Richard is also a member of the EY US Governing Board.

He is a frequent speaker at conferences, on podcasts and at leading educational symposia, as well as a regular contributor to tech-focused publications.

Richard is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a Chartered Accountant in the UK. He holds a BA in English from Swansea University in Wales.
