Rich Fields leads the Global Board Effectiveness Practice for Russell Reynolds. He is a trusted advisor to boards and corporate leaders who regularly ask him to customize and deliver annual board and director assessments, benchmark boards against both peers and evolving investor and ESG standards, avoid or mitigate activist vulnerabilities, and plan and execute thoughtful board and executive succession. He is a lawyer by training, having been both a corporate partner at one major international law firm and a white-collar criminal defense attorney at another. He is currently on the board of the Society for Corporate Governance and is former board chair of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Middlesex County.
