Audit Partner, KPMG

Meredith Kuehler is an Audit partner at KPMG based in the Denver office with over 27 years of experience providing audit and business advisory services, primarily focused on clients in the oil and gas and mining industries.

Meredith also serves as the Talent and Culture Lead Partner for the Mountain Business Unit’s Audit Practice.  In this role, Meredith is responsible for building a dynamic culture for over 700 professionals in nine office locations.  Under Meredith’s leadership, the Mountain Business Unit has a reputation for being innovative and inclusive and exemplifying KPMG’s core values: Integrity, Excellence, Courage, Together, and For Better. Prior to this leadership role, Meredith served as the Managing Partner – Audit for the Denver Business Unit.  

During her career, Meredith’s experience includes coordinating teams of multiple audit, tax and advisory professionals and partners for integrated audits, financial statement audits and statutory financial statement audits, carve out/spin out engagements, and mergers and acquisitions.  Meredith has also guided clients through the initial public offering process and periodic reporting requirements for publicly traded companies, including filings with Canadian exchanges. She has worked with clients of all sizes and stages of development in the mining, oil and gas and manufacturing industries from startups to Fortune 1000 clients. In addition, Meredith has significant experience coordinating global audit efforts with foreign offices as well as multi-office engagements in the US.

Meredith is active in KPMG’s mining practice, collaborating throughout the U.S. and around the globe to share industry knowledge, helping to develop best practices across audit, tax and advisory, and developing and conducting industry specific training in the Denver office  Meredith was named a Colorado Society of CPA’s Women to Watch – Leader of Note in 2022.  She holds a BA and MS in Accounting from Texas A&M University, and serves on the KPMG Advisory Board, Girl Scouts of Colorado, Accounting Advisory Board at Texas A&M University, and is Co-Chair of the Woman Corporate Directors Colorado Chapter.
