Mary Garceau

Mary L. Garceau is the Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, and Secretary at The Sherwin-Williams Company. Garceau oversees the delivery of domestic and global legal services, advising management on all aspects of legal matters, including corporate governance, litigation and regulatory matters, as well as managing government affairs, employee health & safety, product stewardship, and sustainability.  

Prior to joining The Sherwin-Williams Company in 2014, Ms. Garceau spent two years as General Counsel of Thirty-One Gifts LLC. Prior to joining Thirty-One, she spent five years serving as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Bob Evans Farms Inc. Before beginning her in-house legal career, Ms. Garceau served as a partner at the Columbus office of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP. She has significant experience counseling publicly held corporations in public offerings of debt and equity securities, as well as regulatory compliance, including compliance with rules and regulations established by the SEC, Nasdaq, NYSE, and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.   

Ms. Garceau has a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Hampshire and is  a graduate of the Vanderbilt School of Law.
