Lisa Hammitt has more than three decades of experience in growing technology-oriented businesses focused on issues such as the application of artificial intelligence and quantum security, and problems involving national security and space. She is chair of Intelsat, a Luxembourg-headquartered operator of medium earth orbit (MEO) and geostationary earth orbit (GEO) satellites in the media and telecommunications sectors. In addition to her deep expertise in corporate restructuring, Hammitt serves on the boards of Sun Corporation and Clear Channel Outdoor and advises two drone companies. Hammitt was previously global vice president for artificial intelligence at Visa and held related senior positions at IBM, Salesforce, and HP.  Her eight issued or pending patents cover topics as diverse as ontology-driven information systems, content management, complex data graphs, blockchain security, quantum networks, and AI-enabled privacy. She speaks four languages and maintains a top-secret security clearance.
