Jing Ulrich is an accomplished financial executive with extensive global experience. She currently serves as Managing Director and Vice Chairman of Investment Banking at J.P. Morgan, based in New York. In this role, she delivers strategic counsel to the firm’s senior global clients, advising on capital raising, cross-border transactions, and transformative investment banking initiatives across consumer, industrial, and technology sectors.

Ms. Ulrich is acclaimed for her ability to bridge East and West, fostering partnerships that transcend industries and geographical boundaries. Her deep expertise in financial markets, economics, and geopolitical trends has made her a trusted advisor to multinational corporations, private equity firms, and sovereign wealth funds. Her efforts have been pivotal in positioning global firms for growth amid an ever-evolving landscape. Ms. Ulrich has guided US and European companies in reducing regional and single-country dependencies by championing proactive diversification strategies that enhance operational resilience and long-term stability.

Ms. Ulrich holds a Bachelor’s degree with honors from Harvard University and a Master’s degree from Stanford University. She has received numerous accolades for her leadership, including being named one of the Most Powerful Women in Global Business by Fortune and Forbes magazines. Prior to her current role in New York, Ms. Ulrich spent more than 20 years in Asia Pacific, where she held a series of senior leadership positions. As J.P. Morgan’s Vice Chairman of Global Banking and Asia Pacific, she played a pivotal role in landmark investment banking transactions in the region.

In addition to her full-time responsibilities at J.P. Morgan, Ms. Ulrich serves on the Supervisory Board of Adidas, the International Advisory Board of German multinational company Bosch, and the Advisory Committee of luxury automotive company Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. Her previous board appointments include independent directorships at Italian luxury fashion house Zegna and global healthcare company GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), as well as advisory board roles with CapitaLand and L Catterton Asia. Ms. Ulrich’s extensive board experience has provided her with profound insights into corporate governance practices across diverse sectors and regulatory environments. She has also contributed to global economic policy as a member of the International Chamber of Commerce G20 CEO Advisory Group and the APEC China Business Council Multinational Advisory Committee. 

Before joining J.P. Morgan in 2005, Ms. Ulrich was a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank and CLSA Asia-Pacific Markets. Earlier in her career, she was among the first fund managers in Washington, D.C. to focus on emerging markets.
