
Jamie Gorelick

The Honorable Jamie Gorelick is a partner at international law firm WilmerHale, where she chairs the Regulatory and Government Affairs Department. One of the nation’s most distinguished and respected lawyers, she has long represented some of the best-known companies, nonprofits, and individuals facing high stakes enforcement and regulatory challenges, including real crises.
Gorelick regularly counsels boards on governance issues. She is the lead independent director and a member of the nominating and governance committee of Amazon. She previously chaired the nominating and governance committee for about a decade. Gorelick chairs the corporate governance and nominating committee at Verisign, and is a member of the compensation committee. She was previously on the boards of United Technologies, Schlumberger, and Fannie Mae.
Past senior leadership roles in the federal government include serving as deputy attorney general and general counsel of the Department of Defense. Gorelick also served on the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States (the 9/11 Commission) and on the advisory boards for the Department of Defense, the Central Intelligence Agency, and the Homeland Security Department.
