As Chief Information Security Officer at Asurion, David leads the enterprise-wide cybersecurity vision, strategy, and execution—ensuring operational excellence and resilience across the organization. He oversees a broad portfolio of capabilities, including Incident Response, Risk Management, Identity and Access Management, Vulnerability Management, Customer Trust, Security Architecture & Engineering, Product Security, and Data Governance. As a servant-leader, David empowers and mentors a high-performing organization of VPs, directors, managers, and technical experts to deliver resilient and scalable security capabilities.

With more than two decades of experience spanning cybersecurity, risk, and information technology, David has held diverse executive and technical leadership roles across multiple industries. At The Aaron’s Company, he served as Chief Information Officer, Chief Information Security Officer, and Vice President of Enterprise Risk. Prior to that, he led security, software development, and large-scale business transformation initiatives at Caterpillar Inc., and held technology positions at State Farm Insurance and the Central Intelligence Agency.

Recognized as a trusted voice in the cybersecurity community, David is a frequent keynote speaker and thought leader. He has presented at industry-leading events including the (ISC)² Security Congress, ISSA, and ISACA conferences, and has been featured on top cybersecurity podcasts such as the CISO Series, Security Weekly, and CISO Stories.
