Deputy General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, Pacific Gas and Electric Corporation
PG&E Corporation (NYSE: PCG), one of the largest utility companies in the United States, providing natural gas and electric service to approximately 16 million people in Northern and Central California.
Brian leads PG&E’s Enterprise Law team, whose legal and governance professionals handle corporate governance, legal operations, corporate, securities and finance law, human resources and labor law, and litigation and customer claims.
Prior to joining PG&E in 2018, Brian was a partner at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, specializing in governance, capital markets, and M&A transactions. At Pillsbury, he led the San Francisco office’s corporate practice and served as the firm’s Executive Partner for Diversity and Inclusion. Previously, he served as Deputy General Counsel and Secretary of Organic, a Nasdaq-traded digital advertising agency.
Brian is a graduate of Harvard Law School and UC Berkeley. He has served on the board of directors of the van Löben Sels/RembeRock Foundation since 2014. From 2012 to 2023, he served on the board of the National Writing Project, and as its chair from 2016 to 2023.
