

Art Peck
Executive Chair and Co-Founder of The Great./Emily + Meritt
Art Peck is the current Executive Chair and co-founder of The Great./Emily + Meritt, a global lifestyle brand of clothing. Additionally, he serves as an Advisory Board Member of Everviolet, a premier adaptive intimate apparel brand dedicated to creating beautiful and functional intimate apparel for women facing cancer, surgery, and a myriad of other physical challenges. Mr. Peck also served as a Trustee and Chair of the Audit Committee for the Board of Trustees of Occidental College and recently assumed the role of Chair of the Board of Trustees. He also chaired a successful search process for the newly appointed President of Occidental College in 2024.
Mr. Peck is the former President and CEO of Gap Inc. and joined the company in 2005, holding senior leadership positions across the company, including leading Gap North America, the Outlet division, and the Growth, Innovation, and Digital division, Gap Inc.’s former hub for innovation and growth brands, as well as launching the company’s franchise business. A champion of the company values to “do more than sell clothes,” Mr. Peck was a trustee on the board of the Gap Foundation and was a long-time advocate for corporate social responsibility and the company’s philanthropic work. As CEO, he prioritized his stewardship of the company’s values, especially around inclusivity and diversity.
He is a graduate of Occidental College in Los Angeles and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. Before joining Gap, Mr. Peck spent 20 years with The Boston Consulting Group, an international strategy and management consulting firm, where he ultimately served as a senior partner.
