Andrew Senchak served as president of MacDowell’s Board of Directors from 2017-2023 and serves on its Executive Committee. He also serves on the Board and Executive Committee of the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. Senchak received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Memorial Museum in 2023. He retired as chairman of Keefe, Bruyette & Woods Inc. in 2018. Before joining KBW in 1985 he was an assistant professor of economics at Rutgers University and spent two and a half years in Brazil with the Peace Corps. He received a B.A. in liberal arts from Lafayette College and a Ph.D. in economics from Columbia University.
