Alex Taussig is a seasoned board member, venture capitalist, and business leader with more than 15 years of experience supporting global, consumer-oriented technology companies from inception through IPO. His industry experience spans apparel, CPG, financial services, food services, logistics, manufacturing, and retail, with a consistent theme of applying the online marketplace business model to transform traditionally offline industries. He has experience across audit, compensation, and governance committees and works closely with CEOs to unlock new opportunities through the application of novel technologies like AI and automation. Taussig is currently a partner at global venture capital firm Lightspeed, where he is co-head of the Consumer practice. He has led investments in category-defining marketplaces disrupting retail, apparel, and collectibles. Taussig has served on dozens of boards of private companies across the US, Europe, and LATAM.
