Ken has over 25 years as a C-suite executive in the consumer, B2B, sales promotion, CRM, public relations and healthcare marketing services space; and extensive experience in all aspects of domestic and international financial management, operations, restructurings and turnarounds as a result of his time working at Colgate-Palmolive, Interpublic Group and Euro RSCG (now Havas), among others. During his time at Colgate Ken travelled to over 30 countries and was responsible for actively managing $1 billion of currency exposures as a profit center. Besides learning the nuts and bolts of numerous overseas manufacturing and packaging operations, Ken also met with representatives of the Malaysian, Australian, South African, German, UK and US central banks.
While at McCann-Erickson, Ken headed global M&A and led a team of 8 that structured, negotiated and closed 100 transactions over a three-year period, which contributed significantly to McCann’s global growth, and greatly expanded its worldwide footprint and service offerings.
Upon joining Propel Health, Ken implemented controls and spearheaded the implementation of company-wide standardized financial reporting and planning. He introduced KPIs and dashboards that provided “business intelligence” to users throughout the organization as well as the company’s outside investors, lenders, Board of Directors and Audit Committee.
From the outset, Ken was a member of the President’s Council and then the 5-person Operating Committee where for many years he played a key role developing the company’s strategy. Ken’s responsibilities at Propel Health encompassed the company’s Financial, Legal, HR, IT and Executive Compensation functions. In addition, Ken also had responsibility for end-to-end revenue cycle operations, negotiating all client and vendor contracts; and Propel Health’s real estate in the US and UK. In 2015 Ken led the sale of two non-strategic advertising agencies for a premium price that yielded a 4x return. Upon the retirement of the company’s COO at the end of 2018, Ken also assumed responsibility for Compliance.
Ken received his MBA in Finance from Pace University. Ken has over 10 years of board service at both for-profit and not-for-profit companies. Ken is NACD Director Certified (2023) and is a member of the NACD New Jersey Chapter board.
