Camuñez, president and CEO of Monarch Global Strategies, is a veteran corporate director for public, private, and significant nonprofit institutions. A former White House Special Counsel and US Assistant Secretary of Commerce, he currently serves on the board of Edison International, a Fortune 250 investor-owned utility, where he serves on the safety and operations and the nominating and governance committees, as well as the Capital Group’s American Funds complex, where he serves as the chair of the contracts committee. Camuñez also serves on the board of Amplify Education Inc., a privately held growth company, where he chairs the compensation and talent development committee. He is a trustee of Stanford University’s board, where he chairs the audit, compliance, and enterprise risk committee, and of the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, where he chairs the finance committee. He is a founding board member of the LGBTQ+ Corporate Directors’ Association.
