George is the former president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. Following more than four decades of public service with the Federal Reserve, she remains active in service to the Kansas City community and the field of economic policy.
George serves as the chair of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation in Kansas City and is a member of the board of Hallmark Corp. She serves as treasurer of the FIFA KC 2026 World Cup board, a trustee of MRI Global, and board member for American Public Square. Since 2023, she has served on the national advisory board of the Harry S. Truman Library Institute.
In the area of economic policy, her board service includes the Peterson Institute for International Economics, the National Bureau of Economic Research, and the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget.
