Edward Magee is chief operating officer at Thomas F. Frist Jr. College of Medicine and professor of practice (business) at Jack C. Massey College of Business.

Ed held transformative executive roles at Harley-Davidson, ABB Installation Products, and Fender Musical Instruments. As copresident of the Fender Play Foundation, he helped secure $1 billion in permanent funding for music and arts education through California’s Proposition 28. 

Ed serves on the advisory board of Inman College of Nursing and as independent director on the board of WD-40 Co., contributing to audit, compensation, and finance committees. He chairs the NACD Nashville Chapter and serves on boards of Smithsonian SITES|Affiliations and Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee. 

In 2024, Ed was recognized as the Corporate Directors Forum’s Director of the Year and one of Savoy Magazine’s Most Influential Corporate Directors and named a 2025 Presidential Leadership Scholar.
