Brian Martin

Brian is executive vice president and chief legal officer at Nutanix. He was previously general counsel at Lyten, Juniper Networks, and KLA-Tencor Corp. and held senior legal positions at Sun Microsystems. 

Brian serves on the board of directors of Family Supportive Housing—a nonprofit organization that provides shelter and support services to homeless families. He serves on the board of directors of the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley, advancing the rights of underrepresented individuals and families in the community through legal services, strategic advocacy, and educational outreach. Additionally, Brian is a trustee of the Forman School—a coeducational boarding and day school in Connecticut, offering college preparatory curriculum for students with learning differences such as ADD/ADHD and dyslexia. 

At Stanford University School of Law, Brian teaches a course on the general counsel’s role. He previously taught legal ethics at Southern University Law Center and University of Buffalo Law School.
