Board Composition and Succession
- AI Workshop
NACD's team and faculty will collaborate with you to develop a skill sets matrix that identifies the individual and collective skill sets of your board as well as the skills necessary to move your company's strategy forward, resulting in the development of a skills-analysis tool.
This analysis will shape a succession plan that identifies the critical competencies your board needs to drive short- and long-term success and provides the client with a usable tool for continuous planning and board development.
Faculty
NACD's faculty comprise more than 40 sitting directors and subject-matter experts. Faculty members are matched to clients based on many factors, such as their boardroom experience, industry expertise, and the scope of the skills matrix and succession planning support that the client desires. View a sampling of companies and organizations our faculty are currently serving or have served in the past.
Process
Following a scoping call to understand your organization's long-term strategy, NACD's faculty will collaborate with the client in developing a custom assessment survey that identifies the skills sets, competencies, and experience your board needs. The NACD team will distribute the survey, assess the responses, and deliver an analysis to the full board in person or telephonically. NACD also provides ongoing support to many clients to assist them in implementing the succession planning strategy, further building on the skills analysis results.
