Is Your Board Focused on Cyber Preparedness?

Cyber attacks are costly, with an estimated $100 billion annual loss to the U.S. economy and as many as 508,000 U.S. jobs lost as a result of malicious cyber activity, according to a July 2013 study by the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a Washington based public policy research institution. The Department of Homeland Security has sounded the alarm in recent months about “increasing hostility” against “U.S. critical infrastructure organizations,” threats that clearly extend to a wide range of other enterprises, public as well as private, as headlines regularly attest. And these attacks can take quite a toll on corporate reputation and shareholder confidence.
