Will Snyder

Co-Founder & CEO Metopio

Will Snyder, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Metopio, is a highly accomplished business executive and community health expert. Throughout his career, Will is known for a collaborative and entrepreneurial approach to improving population health. In Chicago, he built several healthcare collaboratives. His efforts resulted in the largest collaborative Community Health Needs Assessment in the country –bringing together otherwise competing entities to better understand community needs, advocate for policy change and to support the social safety net. He has led master planning efforts to get both health systems and community members to think differently about the role that anchor institution hospitals can play for their neighborhoods. Will believes that this type of work can be replicated with the right access to the right data. When he served as an advisor to Bon Secours Health System, he helped redirect capital funds to revitalize a neglected commercial corridor around a community hospital. That work, in part, led USA Today to name the East End of Richmond one of the 10 most vibrant neighborhoods in the country. A veteran of too many CHNAs and CHIPs to count, Will derives great joy from partnering with public health and healthcare leaders in communities across the country to help them understand their data to improve outcomes. Will graduated from NYU and began his career at NPR where he spent two years helping to develop digital strategy and capacity for member stations. He went on to earn a Master in Public Policy from the University of Chicago before leading External Affairs for some of the largest health systems in the country.
