Nilsa Guerrero-Mahon is a senior executive, financial expert, and strategist with broad expertise leading domestic and international corporate finance and accounting organizations. She has served as a CFO and Controller for global corporations in the technology, energy, and government sectors. Mrs. Guerrero-Mahon is qualified as an SEC “Audit Committee Financial Expert”. She has an extensive background working directly with Audit, Risk and Sustainability Committees. Mrs. Guerrero-Mahon is certified as an NACD Board Leadership Fellow and a Member of the SASB Alliance. She is an honoree on the “2018 Directors to Watch List” published by the Directors & Boards Journal. Mrs. Guerrero-Mahon is an experienced corporate director currently serving as the Chair of the Audit Committee of NioCorp Developments, Ltd., a publicly traded mineral development company. She also serves on the Board of Directors of FinGoal, Inc., a fintech company building AI tools for the financial services industry and fintech developers. Mrs. Guerrero-Mahon Chairs the Board of the State of Colorado Division of Securities. Earlier, she served as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Centura Health Mountains & North Denver Operating Group, the largest division ($1.5B) in the Centura Health Care System. She also served as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors and chaired the Strategy Committee at St. Anthony Hospital. In addition, she served as a gubernatorial appointed Board Member of the State of Colorado Financial Services Commission a Division of the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies. She served as an advisor to the Microsoft’s Council for Digital Good (MCDG). MCDG’s mission is to advance digital civility and safer online interactions as well as serving as a sounding board for Microsoft’s youth-focused policy agenda. She is currently a Mentor for Boomtown and The Farm, innovative technology startup accelerators. Mrs. Guerrero-Mahon currently manages her own consulting firm providing services in the areas of regulatory compliance, corporate governance, policies and procedures, internal controls, fraud prevention and detection, corporate accounting, and finance. Previously, Mrs. Guerrero-Mahon was the Financial Controller and the Controls and Compliance Manager for Microsoft Global Services with up to $2.4B in P&L management responsibility. While working for Microsoft she established the Ethics & Compliance Council comprised of senior management including Legal and HR representatives, developed the compliance framework, and managed the implementation of ethics and compliance initiatives in multiple worldwide locations. She also managed the CFO certification process and Audit Committee’s disclosures. Mrs. Guerrero-Mahon is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), the Women Corporate Directors (WCD) Foundation, the Latino Corporate Directors Association (LCDA), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Microsoft Alumni Network. Mrs. Guerrero-Mahon received an Executive MBA from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver, a BS in Business Administration - Accounting from the Interamerican University in San Juan, Puerto Rico and an AS in Computer Science from the EDP School of Computer Programming in San Juan Puerto Rico.
